That's only part of it. One also needs to fully understand that the long haul segment of the fiber optic future is already overbuilt, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. CORV has no role to play in the metro and access markets, where dramatic growth in bandwidth demand will be necessary for the backbone operators to justify capacity expansions. Once I started to look at the FO market from the demand side rather than the whiz-bang new-tech supply side, I developed a never ending sense of vertigo. Especially regarding equity valuations.
