re: I can't imagine someone who is used to the gorgeous scenery of Alaska putting up with all that boring flat land in Florida!

And I can't imagine dealing with cold and snow and darkness for 1/2 the year. Different opinions is what makes the world interesting.

OT re scenery: On a clear day, I can take a hike in the 500,000 acre State Park adjacent to Anchorage, and see Denali (20,320') from the trail. The high elevation in Florida is, what, a molehill somewhere in the panhandle? 250' elevation?
