With all due respect, influenza is a virus, and Cipro doesn't cure viruses.

The use of an antibiotic for viral-induced symptoms is medically inappropriate. I suggest you perform a search on antibiotics, bacteria viv-a-vis virus, the causation of drug resistant bacteria, and the impact of inappropriate antibiotic use on your own health.

It is difficult to believe a licensed physician would prescribe penicillin or any other antibiotic in the absence of probable bacterial infection, such as anthrax exposure, or unless the patient were imuno-deficient as with HIV.

Please don't take this as personal criticism, it is not as patient's responsibility to practice medicine and prescribe medications.
