I just installed a 120 eval copy of XP. The scrolling
is wavy, it's giving me a headache. I just spent 1/2 hour
trying to figure out how to fix it but had no luck. I
found this link:
registry.winguides.com but smooth
scrolling isn't enabled in the registry. I turned off
everything in the Performance Options Advanced window but
that didn't help either. I created a 2nd profile figuring
maybe one of my tweaks changed something but the new profile
scrolled the same way. I'm using the default, scroll 3 lines
at a time, changing it to 1 had no effect. XP's help was
no help and MS's online support was no help either.

Any ideas??

Edit:
I forgot to mention that in Explorers's Advanced internet
options smooth scrolling is unchecked, checking it changes
nothing. I'm using a USB MS Intellimouse optical. Maybe
the drivers XP installed are wrong I'm going to try new drivers.

2nd edit:
There were newer drivers but they didn't help. The arrow
up and downs keys scroll the same way so the problem isn't
likely mouse related.
