<< the orcl benchmark is good. there was a 300 people wait outside our local compusa to get their hands on xp. they sold out and some folks were scalping the new pc's and upgrades outside; like an aution. wild. the manager said that the store is backlogged for 2-3 weeks. amazing. >>

I'm shocked to hear you acknowledge a MSFT success, or at least signs of one.

Congrats on the ORCl benchmark results.

Impressive. The Windows XP release hasn't got much media attention over here. No TV advertisements, and I haven't seen any banner ads. It has been told as a small story in some media, but not all of them.

Those places where XP is mentioned, they focus on product activation and price increase. I haven't seen any media except Windows related computer magazines telling about advantages to Windows 98 or 2000.
