My current thinking--for what its worth! :

Time being still a traders market. Probably topping out of nice run, but extreme volatility and event driven.

Still very concerned with Terrorist issue, however we are fast approaching the time of year when I usually load the boat. So do I "sail" this year or not.

If, and a big if, we get a nice sell-off I will begin to slowly scale-into only those stocks get very very cheap and have a big re-bound potential next year. I am still developing that list.

A big change from prior years will be this. I will only use 50% of my end of year bounce funds to limit risk relative to terrorist events etc. That could change if we kill Bin Laden and his side-kick egyptian side-kick(don't expect it).

So, for me a few trades now and then for the time being. And I will limit my risk by 1) buying lower 2)cut "stock stake" by 50%.
