So misperceptions are just fine for AMD products, but not Intel's?

Did I ever say anything about it not being fine for anybody?

I was simply pointing out that from an investor's point of view, x86-64 has a huge amount of potential, even if no software ever gets built for it. Decision makers are going to be thinking "I need to make a decision on next generation 64bit technology, but I want to preserve the huge investment in software we already have. This x86-64 sounds like just the ticket."
