don't know if Al-Jazeera reported that. Did they? I heard CNN report that Al Jazeera had reported that that 4,000 Jews did not report for work on Sept 11. I do distinctly recall the American media reporting that a Palestinian group had taken credit for the WTC attack That was also a relay of an Al-Jazeera report, which had been called into them by somebody claiming to be the PFLP. It was quickly denied by PFLP headquarters, and that too, was reported. Al-Jezeera has rapidly become the CNN of the Arab world, perhaps even better. Considering CNN's standards lately, that's not much of a complement. I am glad Al Jazeera is free from governmental control, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't have problems with the inflammatory rumors they report as news. It would of course be much smarter to flood them with articulate Arabic speaking spokesmen to get our point of view across. But even that is of limited help when the station is basically interested in keeping ratings high by pandering to the prejudices of their viewers.
