During World war 2 US and British bombs killed about 500,000 German and nealy a million Japanese civilians. Plus at least a million Korean civilians in the Korean War and several million Vietnamese and Cambodian civilians when we were at war there.

During World War 2 polls showed that a significant number of Americans (about 13%) were in favor of totally exterminating the Japanese race --about 70 million people at the time.

Americans can be as ruthless and genocidal as anybody when their dander is up.

WWII saw more civilians killed in gas chambers dude

The last numbers I saw had more Russian civilians alone killed than all the people who died in all the concentration camps. Hey, we wiped out a quarter-million japanese in the space of fifteen minutes right near the end there. And don't discount the uncounted millions of Chinese who died during the Japanese occupation.

Just to be clear, I am in no way trying to minimize what happened to European jews during WWII. Those were some nasty, nasty years for humanity.
