I think English is neglected some in public schools in the effort to be culturally sensitive to non-english speaking students which is sadly to their detriment.. Here in Texas, I believe demographics project a Hispanic majority before 2050. Certainly, the US would not want similar problems as Canada with regards to Quebec. Having a law on the books making English the official language might stave of some problems. People have enough trouble communicating as it is. * * *
