WLD, Well spoken. Europe had plenty of wars before WWI, but they weren't in Europe. They were in South Africa and India and Indochina and even in China. The civilians at home read about them, but only the truly unlucky were actually involved in the fighting. We are a lot like that mindset now.

Dead right. Mass slaughter of humans is alright if it's on the other side. 200 thousand Iraqis died horribly in the Gulf war but from looking at the TV coverage you'd have thought it was just an arms fair at the beach.

We can blame Hollywood and TV and rightly so but the real culprit is a public that listens only to what it wants to hear.
