Comments related to the Brooks/PRI marriage---

FitzGerald said PRI has been selected as a supplier in only one out of 10 major pilot projects using newer silicon wafers the approximate size of a dinner plate. Prior to a move to this larger wafer size over the past year or two, PRI had about 80 percent share of the market, he said.

Analysts have said weakness permeating the entire semiconductor equipment sector could be a catalyst for a wave of consolidation.

FitzGerald said companies including Credence Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:CMOS - news), Therma-Wave Inc. (Nasdaq:TWAV - news) and Mattson Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:MTSN - news) could be acquisition targets as companies re-evaluate their prospects for survival in a downturn that may have been extended by the Sept. 11 attacks.

Phil;

Pretty simple, really. They went from one major site with one accounting system to a large number of sites with many different accounting systems, all of which are independent. Their current accounting systems status point out the current state of the company - they are in complete disarray.

Best Regards,
