Re: Intel, PC makers, retail stores and other companies are expected to spend $800 million more

A big chunk of the money is direct from Intel, the rest is almost entirely co-op money, and a lot of that co-op money will be coming from Intel.

Intel pays HP, eMachines, and Compaq, then they pass the dollars on to the retailers.

Then the customer goes into the store and sees that some of the computers use "XP" processors, while the rest use something else.

What else would anyone buy for "Windows XP?"

It's hilarious!

:-)

Tony - Re: "The guy should be on ignore for his inane and useless posts except once in a while he posts something like a ML article that I don't see anywhere else. Maybe we could take turns not ignoring him, so someone picks up and passes around his rare useful copy/paste."

Mad Albert is FUNNY !!

Not only is he stupid, but he posts these mindless 5 year old type arguments.

He's living proof why Russia is such an economic and technology disaster !
