LOL!

Mine is a 320 Mhz notebook....

A dinosaur ?

Does the processor speed really matter after a while ? We'd been thinking of buying a desktop but i vetoed the idea coz i felt it didn't really matter....but i may be wrong ?

The cable often gives me a download speed of upto 170 kbps and i have the options set at 50 concurrent downloads :-)
Cable doesn't guarantee level of service, they leave it to the ISPs to monitor thatand the ISP hasn't bothered so far, so all 50 downoads could in theory be running at 170 kbps. Tough to find 50 people to download from with that kinda bandwidth though. 30 kbps-50 kbps is more common...

How is 900 MHz slower than the GB processor ? Would there be a perceptible difference at all, except for number crunching jobs ?
