Well, I may be incorrect in the use of the Air Attacks from the carrier in the Med at the time. They were available and ready and just a 100 miles away the decision to use F-111's was totally poilitical and irrational when the carrier could have accomplished the attack quicker, stronger, and more thoroughly, with less risk
