Israel is among the few countries in the world outside of Europe, Japan, and the US that is actually a democracy. Besides that, Israel has never required American troops to support it, although it has been the received of a large amount of US Foreign Aid.

Israel in the past has always fought its own battles, and if you are old enough you would know that Israel has also sacrificed itself for America with its own blood ( remember those Iraqi SCUDS falling on Israel, without retaliation).

Few things are certain, but one thing I'm sure of, if the West had to deal with the Muslim world who had conquered and destroyed Israel, then the blood thirstiness of the region would extend to a total world wide conflict of the worst kind.

Israel is not the problem. Arab leaders are the problem. Arab corruption is the problem. Lack of education is the problem. No investment to grow local economies of the region is the problem. Israel is the excuse. Palestinians need jobs, why can those jobs only be found in Israel? Palestinians spend more time teaching there children to hate Jews than to do math, science, or reading? Al-Jeezera and state run television does little to tell the truth and raise the level of their populations. The Arab world and thus the Muslim world has a world of problems and they have found it convienant to use "Hate of Israel", "Hate of the West", and now "Hate of America" as scapegoats for dealing with their real problems.
