From a previous post. I think VT is rated #2 by the NYTimes computer poll (Okla is #1). correction...the NY Times computer rankings had Nebraska # 1, but VT was # 2 ps. They had SU ranked # 13

Dennis: Now that the game has been played you can see why I was so concerned about Syracuse. That aside it just seemed that our time had come. Next week we snap back at Pitt but the Syracuse squad was always a threat. They played a flawless game. Anderson ran the option and it seemed Tech never picked up the fact he keeps the ball about 99% of the time. Bigger game now is Nov 17th Syracuse and Miami. Tootin A SU can knock them off. Tech w/o Beamer. Doesn't bother me. Bud Foster, defensive coordinator would be the next head coach. Big East is looking very strong this year. Naturally I'll pull for a conference team after the Big east came under so much flack about being a weak conference. Tech will fall to about 15 is my prediction , I say they come down on us very hard. Anyone that has ever played sports knows that you have those nightmare days that nothing goes right . That was our day and yes it ouches a lot..........gregor
