I honestly do not have the faintest idea. I'm a Roman Catholic. I could not possibly divine the intentions of people of the Moslem Faith.

The Judeo-Christian beliefs appear to exist in stark contrast with the beliefs of Islam. What I believe, politically, is that followers of Islam hate us not because we are Jews. Not because we are Christian. They hate us because our society is superior.

I do not think there is a jihad here in the sense that they consider us infidels. There is a conflict because of jealousy. This is a culture that "decided" it was superior.

So when one conjectures about the conditions of the Muslim people in places such as Afghanistan I have to think that these people delude themselves. They may be looking at the conditions of their own people as some sort of self-serving sacrifice.

These are people who, in the name of their religion, kill women and children. How could any person determine what these people are thinking about?
