Agreed, My Dad thinks the turn came in the 60's with the whole "question authority" movement which has morphed into, "Nobody can tell you nothing". The disrespect that teachers HAVE to put up with is also masochistic.

These are megatrends in thinking that must be reversed if we are to restore learning back into the classroom.
