from XOXO 3Q results XO indicated that, despite a slowing of sales and installations immediately following the September 11 terrorists attacks in New York and Washington D.C., the events did not materially alter the company's ability to achieve its business objectives for the third quarter. Since the attacks, XO has played a significant role in the disaster response by providing Federal and local government response teams broadband wireless radios, and the use of XO's licensed spectrum and technical assistance from a special XO engineering team formed to provide support in New York City. XO has also utilized its broadband wireless capabilities to provide on-going network backhaul services for wireless mobility providers in the surrounding New York City area.
