Agreed. I don't think we have any choice. It would be nice, however, if Musharraf shot the pro-Taliban extremists in the back as they crossed the border, being careful, of course, to spare those who are being sent across to help overthrow the Taliban and locate and hunt down you-know-who.

The only way to end this war is for US and other ground troops to enter Afghanistan and directly assist local opposition groups to overthrow the Taliban. This is exactly what they want us to do. It is exactly what we are not going to do. They take us for fools. They want us to take something so we can become sitting ducks...just like the Soviet Army was. We will hit and run. We will play thier game dirtier than they play it. We will strike. We will not occupy. We have made mistakes. No country has fought like this before. We will not make those mistakes again. We will make them prisoners of their own radical thinking. Then we will help them be "happy". BirdDog
