Imagining what it might have been like to be Solomon. The main clue is that the language seems very late almost that of the Mishna or the 15 Psalms of Ascent (Shirei HaMa'alot). Also he might not even intend to be Solomon from "harbei mi-kol she-hayu lefanei be-rushalayim" "more than any of those that were before me in Jerusalem" (2:7). The only Jewish king before him in that city would be his father David, unless he is counting the Canaanite kings before him...
