Zeev, >>>increased rather than decrease support for Israel's defensive actions <<<

Whatever happened to that high level group of Israeli's that were to travel to the US to convince Bush that Arafat was a terrorist and should be eliminated.

I know a lot of Arabs in the Detroit area that are keeping a very low profile and will say nothing improper about Israel at the current time. The Arab's in Detroit run anout 95% of the gas stations and convenience stores on the west side of Detoit. They are here legally and most are citizens. Interestingly, they think that US foreign policy is too heavily biased toward Israel, and some Jewish people I talk with think that the State Department is too biased against Israeli policies. So who knows.

Since that Israeli minister was killed, 47 Palestineans have been killed by the Israeli's. So Israel got its pound of flesh. The Israeli minister that was killed hated the Palestineans and called them the "scum of the earth". So as I see it it was just a matter of time until he got them or they got him. The day that he was killed there were on the Web a whole lot of very nasty quotations by him (taken from public speaches) concerning his contempt for the Palestineans. A day later those quotations were gone. I was going to post some of his remarks a few days later only to find that they were erased.

I still think that Arafat still has to cross the line firmly to the Western Side. Mubarek in Egypt is another "has been" that will be very troublesome for the US in the persuit of terrorists.

Your civility in these matters has been appreciated....

Regards, Jerome
