Anti-war Texans to hold rally tomorrow
(Updated at 1530 PST)
AUSTIN: Anti-war and peace activists from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and elsewhere in Texas will converge on Austin for a "TEXANS UNITED AGAINST WAR" march and rally on Sunday, Oct. 28, Austin Against War (AAW) press release says.

Since mid-September, Texans opposed to Bush¹s war have been organizing rallies, vigils, teach ins, and community meetings throughout the state. Now, these forces are joining together.

"America is not united behind this war, and in the heart of Texas - where George W. Bush is from - there is significant opposition," said Debbie Russell, a member of Austin Against War (AAW) and an employee of Public Citizen. "We are united with the majority of people in this world - and we want a peaceful solution”.
