So here is a repeat of why your position has your head up your butt. #reply-16569025 Because you make an assertion on the effectiveness of sophisticated weapons technology in a particular operational environment is nice but not worth much. Do you even have a basic understanding of what is in the computer you use to do financial calculations? Well understanding a complex battle plan is several orders of magnitude more complex As to the citizens of Afghanistan. The Taliban is responsible for the welfare of the people of Afghanistan. America will not kill and is not responsible for deaths caused by the Taliban government in there war of terrorists against America. President GEORGE W. Your idea is rather naive, I am sorry to say. We aren't dropping food in the same spots as we are dropping bombs. We probably won't try and give food to the bad guys. Giving food to people who want to blow you up with C4 (and blow up your whole family with you) usually just encourages them, and it is in total violation of the precepts of Sun Tsu. I say light a candle and sing Kumbaya and you'll be fine.

"We need to stop the bombings and take care of them" We do not have to take care of them. These people hate us and they teach their young to hate us at a very early age. Do you think that that hate will go away ever? You liberals think that the answer to every problem is to throw money at it. I have absolutely no interest in feeding these fanatics so they can come back and kill more of us. This may sound very cold and heartless but these people can starve to death for all I care. They have allowed themselves to be brutalized by the fascists Taliban and have done nothing to fight them. We helped them fight off the Russians and then they turn on us. I agree that the use of most sophisticated weaponry will not be useful or cost effective. We could save a lot of American lives and tax dollars by dropping tactical nuclear weapons. When they attacked us the gloves should have come off. We have every justification since they started using weapons of mass destruction. Sounds cold but nuke the shit out of them and they may continue to hate us but they will fear us which is good enough for me. DOC
