Illmarinen, You are too kind. Our buddy with the bad buzz cut got my goat (American slang for made me mad) in a post that he placed on this thread a couple of weeks ago. It's not just one bad hair day, it's an entirely bad attitude. I think he has a dangerously naive view of the world and I don't intend to let his bullying, over-wrought patriotism overwhelm the intelligence of what is overall a fairly intelligent discussion of policy here at the FADG thread. I mean to inform him that he can't get away with jingoism, hiding behind the flag and high school level understandings of how and why foreign affairs are run the way they are in the U.S. Hopefully, we're all better than that. show some mercy, please. Why? Would he if he had his facts lined up, and an ability to respond? It's just a silly debate, (mostly a tempest in a teapot, if the truth be told). And if I pull my punches, the bully boys and military apologists only get emboldened to more rude and maladaptive behaviour, ruthless rhetoric and puerile pettiness. <w> Best Regards, Ray :)
