Re: XP Home vs. Pro

The major limitations in XP Home compared to XP Pro are: Uniprocessor only, no support for Domain logon, and no EFS support. For a more complete list, see microsoft.com

People who can't afford $700 for a new computer or people like me who just don't want to throw away $600 will buy upgrades. 100 Million computers are sold every year. If 10% of the people who bought a new computer in 2000 go out and upgrade in order to get less of a crashing experience, you will have an extra billion dollars of profits for Microsoft.
