Joe, I read your post to Patricia and you are dead wrong on one issue. Our military is not depleted and never has been, our defense budget dwarfs all other countries by a great amount. What has occurred is that the military brass has been fighting the wrong war for a long time to justify the needs of their rice bowls. You can't justify 5000 fighter aircraft and 1000 tanks and 7000 nukes and 500 bombers and 11 carrier battle groups and 24 boomer subs and 75 attack subs to fight 2000 terrorists, so terrorists have been ignored as the enemy for 30 years

Taking action against the terrorists is one thing......taunting them with bravado is something different.

We can "take care of business" without talking like bullies

Besides, actions speak louder than words. We don't need Congressmen and other politicians to talk like children. We need them to take action and spare all the verbal childlike slang.
