Dear Noblesse Oblige,

Loved your latest. I'd suggest you give me your dismissive views*** of William Greider's "One World: Ready or Not: The Manic Logic of Global Capitalism".

You might begin to understand that the game we are engaged in has little to do with the welfare of anyone other than the most odious among us like the soon to be indicted Ken Lay of Enron, or the rest of the pack of scoundrels who pay off the political elite in order to further their agendas.....

***clearly your views of what America has to offer differs from mine. I'm a pluralist, someone who hopes to incorporate many individuals into a collective prosperity by sharing. Your vision seems much more exclusive. Are you a sectarian by chance? <w>

Re: It's clear we should have established a number of bases in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Nonsense. It's really much better to hire local thugs. Much less resentment that way. We f#cked up in Saudi Arabia since the royal family was such a bunch of losers. We couldn't rely on them, so we had to send the marines. Then the "street" got pissed because of the foreign invasion. It really would have been much easier if the House of Saud wasn't such a house of sodomy. We might have actually pulled it off.

But that's ancient history now. C'est la vie.

Bon Chance, Ray
