Well, I guess I didn't need that $40. Need it or not, it's gone.

I read the Equibase charts to see how my horses ran. I guess they didn't. Next year, I'll actually have to look at the PPs.

As for the Princeton-Cornell game, I was treated to a sloppily played game by what seemed like two indifferent teams. I sat and froze my ass in complete boredom until the last 5 minutes. That's when the Princeton kicker (who might have an NFL leg - supposedly there were 8 NFL scouts there to watch him) tried a 57 yd FG and hit the crossbar. He came within about 2 or 3 inches of an Ivy record. But in addition to the leg, in order to be an NFL kicker, you need the mind (or lack of one). This kid also missed a 49 yd FG which would have beaten Harvard, so I don't know if he's Jan Stenerud from the neck up. Or maybe Nick Lowry is a better example.

KT, I'm definitely staying away from crop-dusters for now. <g/ng>

Actually, I'm not too worried for myself, living as I do in the far boonies, where I'm much more likely to be killed by a moose than a terrorist, but I hear what you're saying, both about being ready to rumble and to buy the ranch, if necessary ... one's perspective definitely does change in middle age, it seems.

As for those Wall Street strategists, they'll say and do anything for an egg roll, apparently. <g>
