Hi Jerome,

It takes a minute to get my ouigi board warmed up:

Amat - siliconinvestor.com
The long term looks like a freight train.Macd has been increasingly positive ever since the turn on 09/24
+ DI is comfortably above -DI and getting stronger - masked buying going on here guys!
Long term Macd is just getting strong - the bull has started but Joe 6 pack doesn't have a clue - he'll get on board later - the improvement so far, is short covering(as they bitch about their greed keeping them short as the WTC crumbled) and institutional funds quietly getting value positions lined up for what will be dicovered next year - " High tech equipment and chips are in high demand and if you are on the leading edge - demand is hot - but only if you are on the leading edge - commodities will still be cheap as Mergers eliminate excess capacity. Confusing headlines for sure.
Stochastics are high and may well stay there a while, but over the next quarter we should see successive waves of declining tops - as the future gets questioned in next quarters prewarning.

Momentum - has a ways to go and will run up strong - might provide a good opportunity to sell some calls if it gets carried away too high(sell 42.50's if price gets to 40?).

Although the short term looks like we are in for a test:
siliconinvestor.com

The fastmoving average has inverted below the fast - down
-DI has crossed up over +DI - down
Macd hasjust dipped into negative - down
Stochastics are weaker wave after wave - wait for it to flat line and double test - this will be the time to "Buy the Dip - yup I know its a new concept but that is what we must do in BULL MARKETS.gg

Momentum must bottom out before we get another leg up generated.

We need to look up at the daily chart for a "guess as to where support will come in" My "guess is a test to 34-35ish would be a good place to sell puts - with the hope of buying the stock.A quick reversal and a pop to 40 would be a good time to write some Jan 42.50 Calls for some Christmas Cash 5.00 -4.50 if the pop is quick???

Shorts are quietly stressed in seeing their profits consistently deteriorate these last 35-37 days - their begrudged buying will be the unseen competition for institutional funds who are also trying to load up under the Horizon.

Next year is only 65 days or so away - erghh But cheap money must find it's way into the stock market.Afterall America's truly rich are not happy with 4% bonds and 3 1/2 % inflation. As their trust fund bonds roll over they will have to take on risk to enjoy the life style they refuse to give up - another paradigm work for the rich as passive income has been minimized.

I guess on should almost start saying Merry Christmas - A Santa Rally is coming your way!!

All of the above is probably wrong but YOU ASKED FOR IT !!gg

I really would like to buy some more Amat and Intc for next year - long term core holding.

Bob
