<<I don't care about the market, only about individual stocks.>>

Huh?

Canadian Bank Note. They print the paper version of the loonie don't they? Fiat stuff. This is the GPM thread.

However, I would agree that you can find values in almost any market. But the market as a whole certainly does matter. Many retailers look cheap. But, with consumer debt and savings in the tank, their p/e's are set for blastoff.

By the way, quit apologizing for your english. Ya don't wanna see my French.

Regards,

Alex

Salut gilbert .. i've had your thread - #Subject-16610 - bookmarked since the day you started it, don't think i ever posted there though ... one time when you got written up in the Globe and Mail i was showing the article around, saying i know this guy -g- .... you've consistently made excellent calls there, of course your whole theory of following insiders is logical from the start .... you've been way early sometimes but then that is the way of the value investor, and you don't need to worry about big losses like the momo crowd does

'The Market' is actually made up of a number of distinct sectors ... the Canada Breads and Bank Notes etc never got momoed like Nortel did so they never got the same attention or valuation ... when the Nortels tanking takes down 'the market', opportunities arise in some of these, that just stands to reason ... what do you see for insider trading in resources? ... in the producers, in the juniors
