Alomex, true, we are just waiting with AMZn -- but there are now a whole range of new investment issues to consider as we head towards "recovery", if that is indeed in the cards. Stocks other than amzn have always been fair game around here.

Alomex,

There are other companies out there of interest even though this is the Amazon thread. Plus, bonds, general economic conditions both in the US and worldwide. New technologies. New IPOs like PayPal.

As for the future of Amazon as a stand alone entity, the story is old, redundant and I can truely say over.

I have a personal interest in B2C e-commerce but I read more about firms with dual channel. There is actually money to be made in these "old economy" firms. If one had bought JCP in January of 2001, one would have a 250% return on their investment. I am angry with myself for not participating in this. I kind of saw this coming Clearly, it is easier in hind sight but I never pulled the trigger nor did adequate research. Believe it or not RAD is a play too. I would have given them up for dead about a year ago.

There are people working in firms tech and non tech that are very bright.
