The statement that draws clear lines from the largest grouping of political parties that does represent mainstream political parties like most popular PPP and ML..

The Secretary General, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Pir Fazle Haq has said religious organizations which are taking out rallies under the pretest of US-bombardment on Afghanistan, are bent upon destroying Pakistan’s economy besides serving Indian interests in the region.
Speaking to newsmen here Saturday, he alleged that these religious parties already had devoured donations of millions of rupees in the name of Afghan jehad against Russia.
He urged all the heads of religious parties to opt a decent way to express solidarity with their Afghan brethren as according to him rallies and demonstrations are no way to pressurise America to stop attacking Afghanistan.
Criticising religious parties who planned to stage a rally in October 28, he said such elements had been against the creation of Pakistan.
He said his party fully supports the government policy towards Afghanistan, because this decision taken by government was in the intrest of Pakistan.
Fazle Haq advocating his viewpoint said that demand to remove the present government by the protesting religious parties was worthless.
He further said his party still stood for immediate general elections for the restoration of democracy in the country.
