Mobile Laboratory Autoclave Anything that can be sterilized in a wall-mounted industrial autoclave, including fermentor vessels, chemical reagents, glassware, culture media and medical waste can be sterilized in this mobile unit. This top loading electric autoclave is fully programmable and is the only autoclave of its type built to meet the ASME pressure vessel safety code; a standard of construction now required in most of the USA and in many countries throughout the world. Microprocessor controlled, this sterilizer can regulate temperatures precisely between 105º and 126º. With keypad data entry, sterilization time is adjustable up to 180 minutes in one-minute increments. LED displays indicate temperature and sterilization time remaining. Equipped with a pressurizable door that swivels out of the way, this top-loading steam sterilizer is convenient to use, offering easy access to the autoclave chamber. Easily Handles Heavy Workloads Mounted on four lockable casters, this mobile autoclave can be moved easily from place to place and conveniently shared by several scientists. Such mobility eliminates the need to carry workloads to a central autoclave installation, eliminating the movement of sterile labware through populated hallways and remote environments. NBS' vertical autoclave is ideal for steam-sterilization of fermentors, glassware and other labware. Three stainless steel wire baskets are supplied to accommodate workloads in a single basket or in groups of two or three at one time. An optional half-height basket accommodates extra tall containers. The autoclave chamber is ruggedly built of heavy gauge stainless steel, completely free of obstructions from sensors and pipe joints to facilitate loading and removal of contents. SAFETY FEATURES Heavy gauge stainless steel chamber is ASME-coded to meet pressure vessel safety requirements. 120 VAC autoclave meets CSA approval. Buzzer alert signals across room when sterile utensils are ready to be removed. Safety switch deactivates autoclave when door is not fully closed, as indicated by flashing display. Magnetic safety latch disconnects power and depressures chamber should anyone loosen door seal during operation. High temperature switch cuts out heater to prevent overheating should temperature exceed 3º above setpoint. High pressure safety relief valve ejects steam if pressure rises above desired level.
