Benefits?!? When I say crashes, I mean stuff like Windows does generally, including XP. Most people want a computer that takes less than 5 seconds to activate. Windows 2000 cannot hibernate with many drivers, and even hibernation takes some time. Most people either hibernate or shut down their Windows XP before turning off power, but maybe your 5 y.o. daughter doesn't?

Please explain to me how Windows XP prevents 3rd party applications to corrupt each other, and how they prevent old installation program install the same components several times, and how you can ensure that no installation program upgrades the only ODBC driver version that works with another program already installed.

Lars.

Rudedog, Great kids! I have a 10 month old that knows how to bang on the keyboard, but that's about it. Hope she can load her own programs by the time she's 5! <g>
