dale: AMD's XP response, quantispeed and all, may just usher in the next AMD wave and may just turn out to be the straw that breaks the P4's back...With 2 years enviable track record behind the Athy vs. the P4's non-track record, AMD's XP offerings are not only the choice of the intelligent consumer but provide the intelligent consumer with a significant cost advantage...INTC may have to suffer a $20 billion net income reduction in Y2001 on top of the $10 billion reduction in Y2000 just to keep the P4 on life support...
