Yes, really. The Mujaheddin are not the Taliban. Some members of the Mujaheddin are a part of the Taliban, perhaps many. Osami bin Laden happens to be one of them.

What you said was the United States supported the Taliban. We did not. We supported the Mujaheddin in their war against the Soviet Union.

Using your logic, anyone who supported Germany before Hitler's rise to power, supported Hitler and his armies.
