Worldclass fabs need $ to stay that way - if AM<D continues to lose money over the next 1-2 years - we'll see if they are able to finance their own activities at the current pace. A downward spiral is hard to get out of, when you are already in debt, and losses are piling on.

As for INTC earnings - they are in the black while major plant expansions/upgrades are being undertaken.
