I'm pretty sure you know that you have above average knowledge about PCs. This makes you different from the average user.

Windows firewalls have that big problem, that most people have no idea what the messages are about. Most people that installed "RealDownload" or some other annoying program don't know how to remove it, maybe even don't know what it is. So when "RealDownload" tries to do something, and Zonealarm pops up about "Do you want RealDownload to do this and that", they just choose something or hit Enter. How on earth should they know?

Lars.

Lars is from Denmark - need I say more <G>?

I have a fairly heavy gauge "home network" - 3 80211B base stations (so I get good coverage anywhere on the property from the far back yard to the front of the house), CAT5e run to most of the desktops, and a gigabit link between my big server and the box I do video editing on - I got tired of moving those 5 gig files around and decided to go for the big pipe on that particular segment.

I sometimes have a number of people over who are crazed laptop junkies and it's handy to be able to had out an 80211b card and let them go for it. Kind of starbucks on the Brazos...
