For what ever it is worth - the Parliamentary form of government is a fundamental problem. We here have New York and California to dominate politics - almost got Algore elected. But the Senate and the electoral college that gives 2 and 3 votes respectively to small states like North Dakota and say Montana is significant balancing force.

Look at it this way, Frank.

The US Federal government is, at most, only a few years behind the Canadian central gov in terms of socialist and bureaucratic incompetence, abuse of power and rampant corruption.

On second thought......Washington made such huge advances in corruption under the Clintonistas it may well have surpassed the Canadian central government in that category<ng>

When times were good, people we will to ignore the stink and try to sweep it all under the rug with the help of our liberal/left biased media.

But now the sh*t has really hit the fan, Americans are about to find out how far things have actually gone down hill new that we need a functional government capable of protecting the citizens living within it's borders vs one that just printed money and then congratulated themselves for the bubble economy that has since collapsed..

IMO, fwiw<g>, Americans are in for a very rude as to whether our bloated bureaucratic gov can protect it's citizens from further massive attacks.

The real war is going to be fought in the US, NOT in the ME. And it's only just gotten started.....
