<If Musharraf were to lose control (heaven's forbid!), it would be a huge setback (which is an understatement). Without any doubt, the Taleban leadership is planning for such a chaotic and leaderless Pakistan. Musharraf's leadership preservation must be taken into account on all daily decisions. >

The new Governor of Punjab Lt general Maqbool is a governor of our largest province, the last time I saw him was in Lahore fort, I was walking to my table on Indian Prime Minister’s Vajpayee dinner table in Lahore Mogul fort, I was suppose to be on the table shared by Indian prime minister personnel secretary and his cardiologist, names need not to be revealed that is little to much for SI, as I walked to my table a young good looking officer military officer called me that Iqbal I have seen you national talk program what do you think of economic future of our country, I replied him Major this is a long question, I need an hour from you . What I missed was the two crossed swords that made him the Lt. General or the Corp commander of Lahore garrison he is a young officer, can pass for a major in looks and have resigned from the army to head a post that requires the governances o the largest province of Punjab. That reflects the control that army or President has on provinces.
