Sultan,

"It seems to me all religions have a small % of people who will interpret it to exploit their distorted values and they seem to find followers who will drink the the kool aid, so to speak.. "

This is true. But Islam has very violent tenants, unlike most other religions. And this is the big difference! And that's why Islam has so many radical groups!

Yes, you find radical nuts in every religion. But with most other religions, people are obviously fanatical, or even insane, that commit these violent or crazy acts. But anyone with any intelligence can see that these acts are not scripturally based in any way, shape or form, in their perspective religions. There unsubstantiated translations by lunatics.

The same acts in Islam, although seemingly violent and crazy, are substantiated by their holy writings. That's the difference!

I have shown you how you can take the Qu'ran and justify violence, such as September 11. It might not be the interpretation many Muslims believe in. But I justified the translation as a violent and valid. And if some choose to believe in them this way, and we continue to consider Islam a valid belief system, I don't think you have a leg to stand on telling them they're wrong!

With most other religions I know about, these acts of terrorism would be easily proved as invalid and non-substantiated translations!

God Bless,
IGIT
