"Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty."

Robert Heinlein,

At first I thought this Saul of Tarsus idea too far out there to respond to. Then I remembered Joan of Arc, who led the French Army at the age of 16. She delivered France at the point of a sword and the Church made her a Saint also.

Check.

If bin Laden were to confess his sins and beg forgiveness, it would be given to him by God. He would still be answerable to the laws of humankind. As he offended members of some 68 different countries and of all three of the major religious groups on earth, there is little possibility he will live long enough to sit through judgment on the crimes he committed, even if he sits in a courtroom until he is a very old man.

The following link http://www.dorfchemnitz.de/WorldTradeCenter.swf was posted before, but obviously you have not seen it. It is a long down-load, but if you wait long enough to see it you will have tears streaming down your face, as I did, the entire time.

You must examine your philosophy because no matter how many snakes you can balance on your head and no matter how many pilgrimages you take with your back pack, you have to realize that others of us paved the way for you with our lives and our sacred honor.

You have lived a sheltered and privileged life, son. There may be hope for you, but not if you tolerate evildoers.

Now take some time, look at the pictures, listen to the music and consider a more ethical philosophy. dorfchemnitz.de

Let me ask you Oh Holy One:
If you advocate the release of a convicted murderer back into society and that person kills again, why are not YOU equally culpable?

"If we execute murderers and there is in fact no deterrent effect, we have killed a bunch of murderers. If we fail to execute murderers, and doing so would in fact have deterred other murders, we have allowed the killing of a bunch of innocent victims. I would much rather risk the former. This, to me, is not a tough call."

John McAdams - Marquette University/Department of Political Science, on deterrence

Brian, are you ready now to admit how wrong the pacifist philosophy is?

Are you ready to now admit Bush *saved* millions of Afghanistan's lives by waging this war?

Are you willing to admit the women of Afghanistan will now be given hope, an education, and protection from bands of rapists. And that these wonderful developments have been brought about by our mighty military machine?

Or, will you instead slinker away like pacifists have done throughout history, only to rise again with your illogical philosophy the next time evil raises its ugly head against civilization?
