NOTICE TEXT: The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to solicit and award a sole source purchase order, utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures, to Silicon Graphics Federal Inc. (SGI), 1500 Perimeter Parkway, Suite 100, Huntsville, AL 35806, for renewal of software support services, under SGI OSCARE Program, for support of SGI software on approximately 50 NAVOCEANO owned SGI high-end graphics processing systems for the FY2002 period. The required support services include unlimited telephone technical assistance, real time dial-in support and analysis, software updates and upgrades for all licenses, and documentation updates. The basis for this proposed non-competitive action is that there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements of this command. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no competitive solicitation will be issued.
