Utley makes sense in all his arguments
hard line approaches produce hard line responses
escalation results
unintended results occur
each passing week of this war ensures delayed economic recovery
bombing and killing innocents does not change govts
domestic movements do

the battle reached a level I was hoping wouldnt happent this weekend
machine gunning inside a Christian church in Pakistan
is our response to be shelling of mosques holding ammunition?

I see escalation and protracted warfare for months
every time the US public demands results, we will have more bombing
which will be largely counter-productive

politics will eventually interfere with military actions
the execution of Abdul Haq was an extreme failure on our part
a sign that we are so far incompetent within Afghany
the Taliban is strengthening its hold as moderates defect
they are becoming more dangerous by the day
