<< The nightly news has become a platform of opinion and poll watching. >>

Great, isn't it! Do you prefer to make decisions without the aid of experts in their fields? I am thankful that the news services constantly provide experts to analyze situations of interest to the public. People can either agree or disagree. It almost seems to me that you don't trust the American people to make intelligent decisions for themselves about each analyst's contribution.

Regarding polls.... do you feel it is worthless to get public opinion?

<< People, thank God, can and do get more information from other sources than CNN, Time, NBC,ABC,CBS. >>

Just where do you get your news, that is totally exempt from expert opinions and polls sampling public opinion? Oh, I'll bet I know where you get your unbiased news. It's from Pat Robertson's 700 club, isn't it? <g>

The chairman of CNN has ordered his staff to balance images of civilian devastation in Afghan cities with reminders that the Taliban harbors murderous terrorists, saying it "seems perverse to focus too much on the casualties or hardship in Afghanistan."
