What would you prefer? No talk shows like O'Reilly or Larry King? How about Talk Back Live? Cancel it? Do you want just straight news items without dialog or expert analysis? Just what are you looking for that you are not getting? Talk shows are just that. Entertainment. I really don`t have any problem with that. What I am not getting in the national media is the COMPLETE story. An example do you know the entire text of the pending air port security bill? Or just the 5 second sound bite of contracted or government run screeners that the talking heads turn into hours of opinion. Each with their own agenda. C-Span does report the entire thing. That's why I ignore the coverage and listen to the experts provide me with a summary, and with their opinions. This, I consider, valuable input to me. The spin doctors provide a very valuable service. Of course, those like yourself, that want to poor thru a 1000 page report, rather than have someone else summarize it for you, will have to look elsewhere. C-Span only brodcasts the debate in congress. As you can see in your statement the spin doctors have more power over you to form your opinion than the bill itself. To me this is very dangerous that the press has this power and at the same time does not have to give the same press to the entire facts. The people never know the pork that is put into bills. They never know WHO put in the pork. All they know is the 5 second sound bite. This is my main problem with the press.
