I think your comment is mistargeted at Elmer. You should be telling that to people like Dan3 and Niceguy, Bill Jackson or Albert - those among the clueless that believe Intel's less profitable quarters are far worse than AMD's negative quarters.

I think you, and most of this thread, are forgetting that this is the deepest semiconductor recession that has ever occurred. If something like this had happened at any time between 1990 and 1997, AMD would be on the ropes.

But Intel remained profitable to the tune of hundreds of $$millions$$. You claimed Jerry outdueled Intel. He loses money and Intel makes money.
