One of the first things the Taliwhackers did in order to cleanse their new civilization was to blow the hell out of centuries old Bhuddist monuments that were carved in the hillsides of Afganistan. Ask Brian about it. He should be aware of that. These monuments were always considered sacred, even by the Islamics.


That action last year vividly demonstrates the Buddha's teaching of impermanence.

The Taliban certainly made a mess in their short tenure. Blowing up antiquities is just another example of how nuts those people are. I think a sharp contrast could be made with Egyptian Muslims. We don't see them blowing up their pyramids.
